Each of our pink amethyst spheres are hand cut and polished to showcase the unique features of the stones.
Pink amethyst is a relatively new discovery that is prized for its delicate pink color and unique crystalline structure. The cool, soothing tones of light pink to deeper peachy-pink are reminiscent of an impressionist painting. Each piece of pink amethyst is a truly unique and individual masterpiece created by the Earth. Our clouds are hand cut and polished to showcase the natural beauty of each stone.
While the exact formation process of pink amethyst is not yet fully understood, there are a few theories as to how it is formed.
One theory is that pink amethyst is formed when amethyst crystals are subjected to heat and pressure during their formation process. This can cause the iron and other trace elements that give amethyst its purple color to oxidize and create the delicate pink hue that is characteristic of pink amethyst.
Another theory is that pink amethyst is formed through the inclusion of other minerals, such as hematite or goethite, during the crystallization process. These minerals can interact with the iron in the amethyst to create a pink coloration.
Regardless of how it is formed, pink amethyst is typically found in small pockets within larger amethyst geodes or deposits. It is mainly found in Brazil, although small amounts have been found in other parts of the world as well.
